I moved the trail cam to this corn feeder we can see from the kitchen window and bought new corn to add. The fresh corn sat there for 2 or 3 days before anything messes with it. I could tell it wasn't a deer because none of the corn on the ground was eaten and only some of the corn in the feeder. Here are a few pics of the culprit. I got 16 pics over 3 nights of this young bear...

We've had a rash of coyotes around too. About day break this morning a flock of geese flew over honking and that got the coyotes stirred up. It sounded like 100 of them but with the goose calls too it was hard to tell. I thought for sure I'd get at least one coyote pic but I was wrong.

Ed, I keep the corn in the galvanized trash can in the pic. In one pic he is sniffing it but hasn't tried to open it ..YET! Last year a bigger bear tried to get in the can and dented it up and rolled it around. I have a screen door spring with an "S" hook on each end that goes under the top handle and hooks on the side handles. I did this to keep the coons out, not thinking about bears. So far it has held up but I know time is getting short before one gets in it.

We have 2 pics trail from a few years ago, one with Marcia and I walking down the driveway and in the second one a bear crossing the driveway 6 minutes before us. We both love knowing that these critters are out there and we can share our home with them, or vice versa. That's why we bought 25ac almost 30 years ago...to get away from people and have nature all around us...and we succeeded at both.   8)

I checked my camera today while we were out trimming trails.  The bucks are doing a little sparring.

This buck must have been arroused by the rabbit  ;D

And I got around 800 pictures of this leaf stuck in a spider web   >:(
