You guys timed your visit at the perfect time.  Halloween and the first few days of November have always been my best days for killing mature bucks.  They should be cruising during the day.  Bill's place is only 2 hours away from me so the timing should be the same.  I've always done better in the mornings.  I think I've only killed one mature buck during an evening hunt and that was in 2008.  The rest have all been before 10:00 am.  I hope you guys get to see some action.
I started out with nothin' and I still got most of it left

I will try and get some pictures up tomorrow, I pulled one card yesterday for below my old bard where I keep my wood stash, it has been there 10 days and had 303 pictures, no real big buck but one pretty good 8 and I am pretty sure a 7 ;) and several smaller ones, along with lots of doe. All hours of the day and night. :)

Bill those are some BIG deer. I can hunt several seasons between seeing anything like that within eye shot. Wow......as if I wasn't excited already :)

Only when the last tree has died and the last river has been poisoned and the last fish has been caught will we realize we cannot eat money.

Well the big guy is no more. Nieghbors got him with the crossbow last night. I'm just glad no poachers got him. Hopefully he father a bunch of nice offspring. Really gonna miss him. It was an honor to share this piece of earth with him.

PS this little prong horn is all I've seen so far this year.

We had a good white frost yesterday morning. I haven't been able to get out much lately to busy farming and 5th birthday party for my oldest grandson. Maybe next week I can sneak a hunt or two in

Nice pictures Pappy, looks like a good hunting spot. That 1st picture seems like it's a very skinny dog. Maybe that's who Sally has been hanging around with.
