Love the curves and handle wrap. Mind if I ask how you achieve that effect?

I was wondering about the handle wrap as well. I would like to use the style on my wife's bow.

Cheers guys. For the handle I use cork to build it up on the back of the handle. I buy sheets of cork from an arts and crafts store and it's cheap. Glue it on and carve with a fine rasp to fit your hand.
The wrap is just a strip of deer hide that I dyed with leather dye. For this style of wrap I always use an obsidian or chert knife and don't worry about making perfect clean cuts, then I just wrap away, as easy as that.

Wow, that is a stunner! The full draw curve is just absolutely beautiful. You have outdone yourself again Ryan.

Great, thanks WG, pretty straight forward. I've been trying to get my elk hide that I bark tanned thin enough without creating huge ridges, so it will overlap as nice as your did. I'll keep giving it a go.

Belt sander? There's gotta be an easier way... maybe just using a really thin skin?

If you just use a really thin leather you get a flat grip.  I don't think anyone building wood bows is looking for an easy way out

Ryan the good thing about this wrap is it gives you finger grooves and is very comfy
