So I am looking to make some miniature arrows for my 1:4 scale longbow. I figure a 1/2" arrow shaft scales down to 1/8" I don't want to go any smaller.
I am working on having some bodkin points made to scale on Shapeways (had good results with the brass hardware I did there for my miniature furniture so I am going to try their steel printing [steel powder and bronze mixed])
Looking around the web I can find beech and walnut and some unknown "hardwood" and possibly bamboo in 1/8" diameter. Beech appears to be the heaviest although at this size heavy is kind of relative
Looking for some small feathers also
Cost is kind of a non issue at this size. I ordered enough yew cut to size to make four more bows for under $16.00
