Any interest in Griswold Cast Iron Fry Pans?
« on: August 14, 2016, 04:06:21 pm »
Here's the deal. I obtained 5 griswold cast iron fry pans for helping clear out a vacant house, one of which is considered rare. I know what they're worth if I sell them, but would much rather trade um. I have very non-conventional views on money and prefer trading in almost all cases. I already have all the cast iron I need to cook with and would like to see these go to a collector or vintage obsessed individual.

Things I'm in need of: knapping rock, snake skins, osage or yew staves/billets, other staves I can't acquire in my area(NE US), & tapered wood lams. I'll consider any reasonable offer however. Feel free to PM me if you have any questions or offers you'd rather not post.

Thanks,
Mike

Do you have any pictures of them?  What size and condition are they in?
I started out with nothin' and I still got most of it left

I'll get some up this evening. They are in decent shape and go from size 5 to 10. The rare one is a deep walled #8 chicken pan.

My #10 is traded and there's a pending offer for the #8 high wall chicken fryer.

I'll post pics of the remaining pans as soon as I get my sink fixed.

;D Save me a smaller and we'll work something out. I have 10's and a 12" chicken fryer. Be nice to have a couple smaller ones.

My size #6 is on hold for Fred. The deep wall #8 is back up for grabs.

I included the #6 and #10 even though there are deals pending for both. The remaining pans are all #8's. One is a regular #8(model # 722 C). One is an odorless (#869). One is the deep walled chicken fryer (#783).

Gsulfridge, which pan/s were you interested in? And what do you have to offer?

Mike, I'll take the last #8 also. We'll work out the staves you want. I'll try to get you some pics.

That's it then fellas there all gone, provided the pending deal on the chicken fryer goes through. It seemed pretty definite so I'm guessing it will.

thanks everyone. glad I could find them all good homes.

Man, I was drooling over all that cast iron.  I don't need any more so I am glad they are all gone.  I was getting close to offering something anyway even though I wouldn't need it.
