That is a great video.  I like how the one guy lit his pipe off of the glowing red axe head.   The lack of safety equipment is surprising.  I guess it was the norm for that era.

The pipe lighting was a favorite of mine too. That equipment is pretty old for the time, everything seemed to be driven of of leather belts from a central shaft- When I lived in NY, I saw a lot of old factories converted to winerys and other things that still had the power shafts in them- it was really cool to see.
