Finally finished the sheath on my elk skinner. The blade is from some KY black I got at the classic and the wool came from G-monee. Hope I can blood this thing in a month.

these stone knives are legit amazing. i remember the first deer i skinned, i had to sharpen my knife at least twice (and i wasent the only person skinning it!). these stone knives are easily sharper AND stay sharp longer than any metal knife you could use, just gotta be careful not to push too hard on the bone.

You are correct, sir! Folks who have tried it agree stone skinning is superior to metal blade skinning for a lot of reasons.

Very nice sheath for that.I was wondering what style of sheath to make for my knife I got from ya.Hopefully I'll try mine out on a deer this fall too.Skinning an elk should be a good challenge for it.Hide being thicker and all.Good luck Scott.
