A bow for Nathan
« on: July 16, 2016, 12:28:49 pm »
Greg's grandson Nathan has become a fixture at the archery shoots. I have not met a young kid more interested in archery. Arrow for Arrow he could outshoot any one of us there, he could fling them all day long and never get bored. At Marshall this year he was eyeing a snakey D bow I made. Truth be told it looked really cool but I never shot it. So I told him I'll change it up a bit and give it to him. I wanted to do it at marshall but had no time with my children there. I glued some overlays on it and some spalted maple in the handle. It's right around 20 pounds at 20 inches. I'm hoping he's coming to Elm Hall this year so I can give it to him

That bow is way to cool and Nathen will love it. It looks more like a roller coaster than a snakey bow.

Wow Paul, very nice of you my friend,. Your gonna see one happy 7 yr. old when you hand him that. I guarantee you he's gonna be thrilled to have that snakey osage bow. My guess is he'll put about 700 arrows thru it before we leave Elm Hall that weekend.  :)
I don't know how many of the guys here know it but Paul seems to be giving some lucky kid a bow at about every gathering he attends. Pretty cool guy in the eyes of many, kids included. :)
I ain't broke but I'm badly bent.

What a great gift!  I bet Nathan will shoot that more in one week than you could in a lifetime Paul.  That boy loves to shoot.
I started out with nothin' and I still got most of it left
