A belly split for my grandson

When I made my 1st bow my ash "Survivor " bow I saved the belly split from the stave thinking some day I might make a bow for one of my grandkids. Well someday is here. 49" n-n don't know lbs but light enough for my almost 5 year old grandson.put red fox on arrow shelf and red fox string silencers. I really like that its belly split from my 1st bow, now grandpa and grandson 1st bow from the same stave 😊

As you can see I'm still out standing in my field. Navy beans are getting bigger.

Bow I made for our 5-yr-old grandboy is 9@15. He can pull it without undue effort.

Nice bow BJ, you a lefty? Hope to see your grandson along with you at the shoots, he will enjoy himself and should be proud of the bow his gramps made him.

Thanks guys no I'm not a lefty wasn't really sure which way to go with this one he's kinda ambidextrous but he seems to always want to hold bow left handed so I made this one a lefty. I took him to Marshall he had a blast but we need to do a lot of practice before next year. I made bow for half my grandkids now 2 more to go. Got one for my favorite granddaughter roughed out today her birthday party is Saturday not sure it'll be done yet. I did shoot it left handed it wasn't t really that hard. I'll get some pictures of them when I give them em

Thanks PNewton, Thanks Osage, after the parade today we did some practicing with the new bow. I also did a little more work on bow. I took a few pictures but I'll have to get by wi-fi to edit them to post maybe tomorrow night.
