Reworked Osage
« on: August 09, 2016, 11:30:41 pm »
Here's one I made over a year and a half ago. Didn't get shot a whole lot because I just couldn't be happy with it. It had uneven recurves and limbs way too wide. So I re worked it, reshaped the tips/handle, evened up the recurves.Narrowed the limbs a little and added some slight reflex towards the outter limbs.finished reworking in July and now has taken the place as my favorite bow. 64" 50# @26"

Forgot to mention, it doesn't even have one knot on it anywhere, not even the smallest pin knot, just a slight wonky spot on the upper limb.

Great job on the re-work. That is the great thing about wood bows, you can always work on them until you get them just right. I had a similar experience with one of mine. Great Job.

I usually always want to change something after I've finished one, most the time I will leave them tho. My main Osage bow I've Been shooting for three years has so many things I'd like to change but I just can't lol I love that bow.

Thanks you all so much! All appreciated!
