Hickory backed ash bloodwood core?

I've got some bloodwood pieces and thought I'd try a tri lam. What thickness should I make the ash belly. The bloodwood is about 1/4-3/8" thick. I thought about tapering the core. I'm not looking for anything super heavy just around 50-55#. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you Tim.

I've never made a hickory backed ash bow, I'm not feeling fuzzy warm about it. Can you make the back and belly hickory? Got enough?

Sure can! It's all thin for backing you think it would be thick enough?

If the stack up equals 1/2" or more, your all set. I would taper the core.
