Very nice. Began traditional archery shooting an ELB 35 years ago and they are still my first love.  Where did you get your yew stave from?  US?  UK?

Thank you, I appreciate it!  :)
I ll try to write a little more in the future, but its one thing to talk like this and an other to discuss technical details of bowmaking in a foreign language.

Its local yew, like most bowyers I use the stuff that is next to my doorstep. I was very lucky when I found this yew, its good qualtity and the former owner didnt want much money. Honestly said, I have never seen a bow from US or UK-yew build here in Germany, most bowyers use yew from the Alpes.

I have to admit I also have to practise a little more, I can shoot it a dozen times with 29", but then I need a break. The picture you see is with 26", taken after the shooting
