Tree ID?

Any Ideas? I first saw it back before it leafed out. At the time I thought it might be elm, but now I'm not so sure.

Look like some type of ash. What part of the country is this tree in?

I though black ash at first but the bark isn't quite right.

I think it might be black ash after all. The tree is just young and the bark isn't fully defined. I may be wrong. Let's see if anyone else has an opinion.

   Those leaves and bark looks like our young (WV) black wallnut. Elm ,ash here have saw blade leaves. Wallnut doesn't.

  For what it's wort my votes young black wall nut.

Whatever it is, cut it up, dry it and it will most probably make a fine bow. It's certainly hardwood.

Thanks guys. I'm curious about how on one leaf the leaflets are symmetric and on the next they're offset. I always thought it was one way or the other. Anyway, next time I visit the place its on, I'll bring it home with me. BTW, i'm in NW Arkansas.
