Thanks Guy these are really nice shooting arrows, afraid won't have any excuses other than pilot error. Gotta shoot em to lose em. Lol I'm really getting excited now removed bark and did preliminary straightening on 5 shoots yesterday.

That northern arrow wood is about the best in my opinion!
If you should ever get more than you need I would love to have some more of it

I've lost my fair share of their in the cabbage so this year I'm showing up with pink fletched arrows...... seriously

Those are real pretty, very unique, well done! My arrows are a pain to find if I miss, dark brown bamboo shafts with very low cut but long faux eagle feathers, in other words white in the front with the back 1/3rd died black. They are 35" though so luckily most times some part is sticking out from under the grass or whatever, lol.

Thanks Urufu. I think my nephew thinks there a bit bold thinks I should make some more plain ones. I told him these are hard enough to find. Amazing how good they can hide. Lol

Thought I'd take a picture before I lost them all. I have 7 New Red Osier arrows and 3 old forsythia wonder what I'll come home with?

Actually I didn't lose any I broke 2 red osiers in the jug shoot tonight all my arrow were stuck in the jug but with the fat end back they sealed the jug so hardly a drop came out. I had a blast were going home tomorrow and I already can't wait for next year. I already know a lot of things I want to bring next time #1 I'm gonna make some vice's and #2 more arrows.

I was very happy with my Red Osier shoot arrows. They flew very nice and even though I didn't have scales or spine tester they shoot pretty nice groups. I will probably try to turn some arround so fat end is towards front or barrel the shaft more. They shoot nice but sealed holes tight in water jugs. We shoot the jug for fun one evening my first two arrow went in about 1" from bottom of jug. I ended up with all my good arrows in jug and two junk ones left. The fellow shooting  against me was in same predicament and we had to shoot a junk arrow go retrieve it then shoot it again. This must have taken 10 min. and still not a drop out of the 2 arrows in bottom of jug. Finally enough came out of top arrows that we were allowed to remove them. I finally got one about 1/2" off the bottom so it made holes in the coragated bottom 4 holes with one arrow and out came the water. As I sat with Bruce talking I said I finally broke down and bought some premium shafts, I've never made a arrow from anything but shoots. My heart sank when he said he thought id be disappointed but swelled when he said my groups might get a little better but there was nothing wrong with my arrows they shoot really well. I liked Bill's spine tester gotta make one. And a lot more arrows
