Very cool bow, looks great all around.  Using a knot for the tip overlays is a neat idea; must've been a pretty big knot.

Hey DC, I think you're getting the hang of this bow building stuff. Very nice bow!   8)

I've got a few more to go. I think I'm still overbuilding. I haven't broken any so I must be doing something wrong :D :D :D

As to the knot tips. Branches usually have tighter rings and are denser than the rest of the tree. The spur of the knot looked even denser to me. Hopefully even though it's yew it will be tough enough. I just couldn't pass up that color.

Nice bow, DC! I love the idea of the knot overlays. I might have to steal that sometime. The tiller looks great.

Beautiful bow DC.  Like Weylin, I am stealing the yew knot overlay thing  >:D  Anybody who has worled a piece of knotty yew, knows how hard they are.

Top notch work!

I know this one piece of knot is good but I was thinking about others. Do you think Doug Fir would work or would the pitch make gluing tough if not impossible?
