Del's Yew Heartwood Bow Destruction Test
« on: May 13, 2016, 05:17:26 am »
The Yew heartwood primitive just wasn't going to be any good, the patch I did on the back wasn't very well done and the rawhide backing was more in hope than expectation... So I decided to destruction test it, on camera >:D
Enjoy!

The two limbs are pretty good so I may try to make a mini bow... ok I can't get to Marshall, but those mini bows look sooooo cool.

Thanks Del. Love the crocks in the air. I had to keep watching some of the destruction tests on UTUB. Pretty funny.

Thank Del. That was not only educational but very entertaining. Didn't know what Chief was talking about "crocks in the air" first viewing was watching bow. Looks like it ripped that rawhide clean into.

Del

Still time to ship a mini to Marshall Del
We will test it out for you ,just remember  on bows shipped in  for test there is a strict no getting them back policy
as far as I know there are no yew bows in the mix as yet so if you believe in the wood get to me quick

thanks for the show

That bow could have been saved!  What a terrible waste!  You know nothin', John Snow!

You could have backed it with a complete stave of good yew, then tillered off the bad bow and started over!
Guns have triggers. Bicycles have wheels. Trees and bows have wooden limbs.

Always fun to watch them blow up. That's a good lesson for the guys that think throwing a piece of Rawhide on will save it
