Looks like pretty decent stuff to me? Growth rings look decent?
Here's the standing tree's I ended up having to cut all three to get the one I wanted, but they'll looked good.
Longest ones are 80 inch's half logs are 73" and 61". I've always wanted a short sinew backed pony bow, so the smaller has a purpose.

This looks like a good one to me, it's long enough I think I can cut the crook off the end when it drys.
Anyway, here's the bow I'm hoping to replicate, bought the stave at mojam in 2006, from a guy named little feather(I think?). 65", 54lbs, I'm sure the tiller could be better, feel free to critic. The fact that it's survived for a couple thousand shots with not too much set, makes me think I didn't do too bad for a guy with some books and no clue..

I think it has a little flat spot on the right where a knot is that I was worried about. it is what it is, I don't plan on changing anything, but I would value your opinions.

Not that bad... for an osage bow
Tiller looks great to me! There's definitely enough material to replicate this bow !

The staves and bow look good.

Thx guys. I finished splitting the other logs and have three poly coats on the ends and a few inch's up each side. I'm sure you more experienced guys could have ended up with more stave's, but I played it safe. 14 total. I'll cut more this winter, but should be good for a long while, no fasTeR than I build

Bow looks great and with all those fresh osage staves you'll have enough to replicate that one and play with some other styles of bows to boot, should be fun.
