These are some of my arrows I made with forsythia main shafts. I don't have river cane or boo am cureing some Red Oiser. I harvested shafts last fall striped bark and straightened with small amount of heat. I then wrap but ends with sinew also use a little glue. You can skip glue but if you shoot them a lot your sinew will wear. Next I drill as large of hole as I can get away with in big end of shaft for hard wood foreshaft. Then make foreshaft to fit very tight. Also make hardwood knock and insert it then wrap knock and halve point. Next paint stain then fletch. Next I use clear polycrylic to seal. I put on at least 2 coats heavy on sinew areas toward front. This really helps wear problem. I've shoot all of these but I use fore shafts with field points stone points hard on targets and points
