That's great Chris!
I'm glad the call helped. It really looks like your Gramp's gun laid the smack down on him.

Congrats Chris. I have a "Sweet Sixteen" myself that was my Grandpa's. I've killed some pheasants with it and a deer or two but, not a turkey. Might have to do that one of these days. Enjoy the harvest of that one, cause it is special.

If I were ever to kill a tom I would hope to
do it the way you did.

Sweet! Nice bird Chris! I've got a set of Kevin's calls also. It'll be going to South Dakota with me next month to chase some birds there.

They are working pieces of art. I just toss my commercial calls in my vest, wherever they land. Kevin's calls ride right in my breast pocket all alone and safe

Awesome post. Congratulations PD. You can't beat those old A-5 Brownings. I think for most of us on this forum who are hunters, it isn't so much about the taking of game as it is "the way you do it". Taking that gobbler with a family heirloom 16 gauge and one of Kevin's fine calls fits the bill for me. Thanks for sharing your hunt with us.

Real nice one.. CONGRATS!
My first shotgun was the same model 16, dad traded an old chevy sedan for it.. Also came with a 22" quail barrel..... Dang now I miss it.
