Interest in a Photo Tutorial?
« on: April 19, 2016, 08:12:15 pm »
Hey guys. I'm wondering if there would be any interest if I shared how I go about taking pictures, editing them and posting them on PA? I know there are some guys who don't care about their bows as functional art and there are some who don't care about pictures and that's fine with me. We all do it for different reasons. When someone makes what seems to be a beautiful bow and I'm squinting at little poorly lit pictures it drives me crazy! I want to see your sweet bow!

I don't put all that much work into it but a little effort can go a long way to showing off your bows. I thought it also might be another way to help a few more guys feel good about getting their bows into the BOM contest if they could display them better.

So, anyone interested in a few tips and tricks to better bow photos on PA?

I'd be very interested especially if your pictures are taken with a cell phone. That's the only source I have for taking pictures and struggle on how to make them look good.

Great Idea. I look forward to reading it.

Glad to see there's some interest. I really don't do anything too fancy. I just use my phone, heck sometimes it's my 6 year old taking my braced and full draw pictures. I will start working on it when I get a chance.

I am interested too.  I am always disappointed in my pictures. Your pictures really look nice.

I'd like to see this too, there are always some bows posted that you just know are really nicer than the photos make them look.
I also agree that its a good idea for maybe getting some guys to feel more confident about entering bows for bom. I know I'd like to have my pics. look sharp and crisp like yours always do.
I ain't broke but I'm badly bent.

Would be interested in seeing your methods! I often get compliments for my photos but really,  I've only ever used my phone camera.  Beautiful natural backdrops always help too
