That came out nice for your first attempt Paul. You'll get the weight on the next one.

Paul:  My hat's off brother.  That's sweet, but if you want to "put it away quietly" I believe you still have my address.   ;)

phil woods, a famous saxophone player was asked 'which of your records is your favourite one?' - 'my next one' he replied '...always my next one'
but hey enjoy your achievement!
it is a beautiful bow!
...and the shadow picture is way cool!

That's a good-lookin' bow,and you ought to be proud of it.Are you sure it was fully seasoned? I built a 66" osage flatbow,"Malachi", for my wife a few years back that finished out at 45#@28".She told me she "did'nt want to scratch it up huntin'",and would hunt with her pearson recurve.Well the bow sat in the closet till one day all the kids were out shootin',and she wanted to shoot Malachi.I gladly strung it up for her,but noticed she was having a little trouble hittin' full draw.I put the scale to it and it was an even 60 # @28".It shot great, even better than my 60 pounder, but I did re-tiller,and it has stayed put. That stave had been split out for over 3 years,so,you can hope for a miracle. One of your fellow Texans.  PeteC,      God Bless

Thanks Ryan - got that next one working right now, looking pretty good so far :).
Endeavor bushytail - the good always win, I think.
Thanks Jawge, Pappy, and Otoe - I still have your address but may take awhile to get to the post office ;D.
Appreciate it Frank - I'm like him, always have the next one in mind before I finish what I'm working on. Good story PeteC, this one's been dead about six months - maybe It'll add some poundage in the future..

Jamie: Just noticed you've got Jerry Jeff Walker lyrics down at the bottom. Some of my old dirt road ridin, beer drinkin music. He can't sing worth a damn but for some reason I took up with it :), takes me back...
