Hi guys.

This is a bow I finished today. It`s white oak, pyramid, unbacked.
i trapped and burnished the back before tillering because of a few grain runouts. Seems to work fine.
It`s 35#@26", perfect as a practice bow. I ended up with 3" of string follow because I started with a
deflexed board, so I steamed some reflex and ended up with 1/2" of string follow, which is way better.

The writings on the back are in Paleo-Hebrew letters, dating back to about 1000BC. It say`s "Keshet Giborim"
which means "Bows of the mighty" (Samuel A, 2:4). The handle is Olive wood.

Thank you all for the kind words.
Apparently my bending form wasn't perfectly flat so it gave both tips a twist to the right. I thinned one side and cut the string groove a bit deeper on the opposite side and it helped, but it's still not perfect. I guess as long a the string is almost centered, a bit of limb twist isn't too bad, right?

Dor,
         That's part of the beauty of primitive archery...Different twists and curves make it a one of a kind hand made bow...That was the hardest part for me years ago, leaving the cookie cutter mentality/ glued up glass laminate builds behind me and making the transfer to primitive bows...You are correct, a little twist doesn't hurt a thing ;) Some fine shooters have lots of twist...How does it shoot?
