my first points
« on: April 04, 2016, 08:15:39 pm »
ive been around the forums for a few months now, and thanks to tracker i have had some obsidian to work with, though i havent made enough time to knap, these are what i have done thus far.

from left to right in order of first to last.

the glass one i did before i met with tracker, the second i did WITH his guidance (hes pretty good), and the last four i did over the last few weeks (the bottom two i just did today ;))

sorry for the zoomed up poor quality, but its the only kind of pictures i can actually get on the site xD

thus far my biggest issue has been thinning, but other than that i think im doing good (once thinning is done i think it will be easier to notch them xD) and then i gotta figure out how to make them sharp.

Not too shabby! I've got much more stone now! Whenever you wanna knap again shoot me a PM. Maybe I'll show ya some tips for thinning.
May my presence go unnoticed, may my shot be true, may the blood trail be short. Amen.

Really nice start! Great thing about this addiction is there are so many great people willing to share their time and talents with beginners. Thanks for posting.
