     Excellent! I have one on the drawing board of my mind, getting kinda of dusty.  I have some left over cedar deck boards, that I will make a trestle table out of, and what is left over, I will saw into 1/8 inch thick strips, by 1 1/2 inch wide.  Whenever I can afford to get a band saw!  I am going to use the west system, to do it.  That is beautiful.  Are you going to put cane seats in it?  You can get them at GlenL boats, or are you going to make your own, or something else?  Again Very Nice!

I have had in mind to build one for a while, money always being an issue with any project I think about. I have the pattern for molds and the plans for the wee lassie 2 by mac mccarthy but was worried about length of boards, I noticed you spliced a few of yours and feel I will have to go that route when I try due to cost restraints. I will also have to cut and do my own bead and cove on the boards but feel as though all the sweat equity will greatly help to offset some of the cost. Your canoe looks great by the way, one day I will try but got a whole lot of projects in the work right now. Have a house that is being remoldeled right now thought I might could use some of leftover plywood for molds and hopefully have some lumber for strongback also. By the way how long is your canoe.

Darin, the expenses are a little more than I figured and splices are okay, not totally necessary to bead and cove but uses less filler if coved. Mine is called the Bob's Special and is 15'-6",it is a variation of an old Chesnut Canoe from the 50's, it's been a fun project that I need to push for the finish and get to fishin, I am close but still plenty of things to do. Fiberglass and epoxy seemed to be the biggest expense so far. Bob
