I'm just wondering how thick you experienced static guys leave your curves to avoid them breaking or pulling out? I've been wanting to try fliped tips or a proper recurve
probably going to be hickory or maple wood. Thanks!

1/2" try and get a single ring on the belly and get the bow bending to about 20" before bending the tips
