Dacite knife and blue glass point
« on: March 13, 2016, 12:06:57 pm »
I decided to post a knife project I finished up yesterday.  The handle is deer antler with a dacite blade, pine pitch and sinew wrapping.  Also a point made from a chunk of  blue glass I had laying around.  Thanks for looking.

I need to play with some dacite! That looks better then obsidian in my mind! Great job on that blue point too. Question, did you burn the antler to get that look? Kinda looks like the antler Case used to put on their knives.
May my presence go unnoticed, may my shot be true, may the blood trail be short. Amen.

Yes Tracker I use a torch to burn it,  the antler was a chalk deer shed.  Then I sanded it down.
