Yep, except the maple is sugar sapling and the "hickory" I think is white oak. Here's another pic.

Is silver and sugar maple good bow wood?  We have all kinds of that stuff around here

Average bow wood. But can make a decent bow if designed right. Needs to be wide

Silver is brittle from what I understand and see when the wind blows. Sugar maple is supposed to be pretty good but I have not made a bow from either. Someone on here made some real long silver maple bows I think?
