home made snowshoes

Just finished up this pair of easy to make snowshoes. I was surprised at how well they worked.

Great idea and would work....we got two inches of snow last night...may need to make a pair..LOL

Eddie, you could use them as flippers rather than snowshoes.

Looks cool, although I'm thinking of building a pair of maple laminate snowers.  Exactly how do you tie them on your boots.

The toe slips in the front and the ends of the lampwick tie around your leg just above the ankle. Lots of info on lampwick snowshoe bindings on the web with some videos that show you how to use them. I am interested in seeing what you come up with when your snowshoes are finished. If you can, please post a picture. Have a good one.
