Well Chippingtuff, Tower, Robin, Jerry Kiker(freezecracked), and some other texas knappers got together over the beautiful weekend. Here are some works from me and Tower. Ill post all the points, then Towers and then mine.

It was a good knappin. Jerry Heinkel hosts a fine event. VV Turner (Dollar Creek) was there also. He was making preforms to cook and taking a lesson from Jerry Kiker on getting a big piece of unusual rootbeer bifaced. I spent too much time working on some bull gravel that turned out to be too crumbly. The other knappers said it resembled rhyolite. I've never had any dealings with rhyolite so I have to take their word for it. It came from a landscape yard at Blanco, TX, so I guess they may have gotten it from a TX quarry.
Notice how good Nathaniel (Sasquatch) has gotten.

Those are some pretty points fellers. Maybe one day when I get older I can make something that fine. No kidding you guys have a real talent and Nathaniel has gotten much better than he was last year. Hippy

Thanks for looking and taking the time to comment. Dan, I sure hope to make it man. It looks dismal tho, because that is my anniversary weekend and we have a newborn. That makes 4 kiddos under 7 years of age. I have to thank Tower for taking the time to help me grasp the art of knapping.
