Awesome skins on a well bent bow. Still have to find a way to put some osage in the picture though huh?

Very nicely done, picture perfect!it doesn't look like you heat treated the belly?it holds a good bit of reflex indeed!

I heat tempered it at marshall.  I scraped away all of the darkened wood during the final tillering.

I can't help it with any woods pictures.  I wanted to make the arrow shelf out of osage but I resisted the urge and used leather.

It will get the steel barrel test for sure.  For you guys that were at Marshall last year you might remember the bow is the one I used to lock Blackhawk in the port-a-let.  He tried his best to break it getting out.  He actually put a few reflex cracks in it.

Sweet bow, Clint! I love those skins. Gotta love the prerequisite vine maple tiller disclaimers. I'm working on a vine maple right now that's going to need lots of disclamers. Are you going to change your user name after this? I guess vine maple outlaw doesn't have quite the same ring.  ;)

Wow! Thank you for not staining or doing anything to take any of the true white out of that wood. The contrast with those skins is perfect!

I'm keeping my name Weylin.  It's still my favorite.

Chuck, I thought about staining it but I have stained the other white wood bows that I've made.  I kind of wanted one with a natural color.

Good bow,the tiller looks good to me considering the stave.
I like the white colour, never saw a white bow before..might try one ( made a blue bow  once) ...is that paint?

That's the natural color of the stave.  No paint.

Trapping a Blackhawk in a port-a-let isn't very easy.
