Fish Skins?
« on: February 03, 2016, 11:46:10 am »
Hi there, I'm looking for fish skins to back a bow with - ideally, a pair of salmon skins, both 18" to 20" long. Depending on the width, one skin might do it, since the bow is only about 1 1/4" max (hooray for yew!). I'd also consider skins from other fish (or snakes) too. I'm also looking for 1/8" or thicker birch bark for a stacked knife handle.

I have various wood pieces to trade (black palm, desert ironwood, mountain mahogany, some old maple from lake superior), bamboo arrow shafts, various knives (production blades but selfmade handles) and ocean spray staves in various stages of dryness.
