Not sure what i found? Pics added
« on: January 26, 2016, 08:38:36 pm »
So I was in Pryor oklahoma clearing some land. Then i found rhis unusual rock lookin thing. It looked like a yard art turtle shell but a big one. I turned it over and it looks like a centuries old big pot or vase? It looks sand or flag stone ish but i never seen one in this shape.

My first thought was a morter for grinding grain. But they dont shape the outside of them also. This is dished in with even wall thickness all around. It weighs a bunch. Obviously broken. There is a curved in section where wall thickness increases. It looks like a handle area? Im asking pat to post pics because i cant.

Fifth Picture, top right looks a little like grain in a bone. Any chance it is a piece of fossilized bone?

What ever you have is interesting.
I would search for geofacts in your area.
Then fossils.

could be just a "concretion". A geologic feature that sometimes has a layered, spherical/ cylindrical shape. What area was it found?
