Another Invitational 2016 Bow Trade...

I just got done shooting in a black licust molle. It can out at about 40#@27". I think I've hit a 40# wall. The last 4 or five I've built have been right about that point. But it does shoot well though and has some good looking black streaks in the handle and a dark ring under the back ring. So it's a little on the light side, but shoots well and will look good. I'll get some pictures of it up tomorrow when I get my buddies help with pics again. I think I'll spend the rest of the evening twisting up some strings.

I think it's the year of the molle for me. I think that's been my go to design this year. Here's a few pictures of the BL molle.

40# is a good weight. 
Nothing wrong with a 40# bow, you can shoot it more and develop better form.

I think 40# is way to lite. Plus it's black locust.  If that bow is for Paul, you better make another one. 40# black locust bows do hold together much with Paul's super human strength.

That's a good bow there Mo.Might get more poundage heat treating unless thoughts and actions have been different about the bow.

I was hoping that it had been long enough that I could give you a hard time about it.
You know that bow was pretty much doomed to fail with all the issues it had. I was really surprised that it stayed together as long as it did.

Yeah it was pretty,  I've acquired a black locust billet and I'm thinking about making it a take down with a different bottom limb.

Yeah Paul,  the one John broke was a gift bow to me to. I haven't taken the opportunity to give John a hard time yet. But I'm sure I'll get my chance.

While I was at Marshall I got a little time to work on my trade bow. I got it to a low brace and has a weak spot about 10 inches from one tip. I think it will be just fine but I got frustrated and decided to try to add a few more inches of reflex. While doing so I managed to remove most of the flipped tips I put in. On the way home Eric and I discussed my bow and here is what  we came up with. My first real steam bending.
