I think your bend looks great David!!  You have come a long way through this trade...I'm sure we will see more from you in the future.

I ripped a couple arrows through my trade bow and took some final pictures of her.  Gonna try and get it packaged up tonight and shipped tomorrow!

It'd be awesome to see like a big compilation in one thread of all these bows made if that hasn't been suggested yet....

Well...she's all packaged up...I know the bow will arrive safe and sound...but my guy may not be happy with me when he is trying to open the tube.  The caps are not glued on...just pressure fitted and taped so don't try cutting them off!!

I cant believe I'm finally shipping this bow!

I think so too. Maybe after the trade Fred can get everybody on the same page with a date to post and we can get it done.

Sounds like a great idea to me.  A place to see all the bows without going through 280 pages.

;D We wouldn't have so many pages if you guys didn't gab so much

Now for a little humble honesty: We couldn't have done it without you!!!

I'll get the compilations posted in a different thread as soon as next week and then you guys can post away.
I found many years ago that it is much easier and more rewarding working with those that don't know anything than those that know it all.

Quick update:
After finding out my first couple trade bows were more under weight than I had hoped(even on my new scale), I have two black locust bows a little past halfway finished. The one had a fair amount of natural reflex in the stave and is looking like it may be a real shooter. It's limbs are relatively thin already and it's still way heavy on the draw weight.  I'm gonna get back to shaving wood and hopefully I'll have something worth taking a picture of in a day or two. This ones gonna have a fair amount of stored energy at brace.  I always seem to push deadlines, even when I try hard not to.
I have nothing but scorn for all weird ideas other than my own.

Stuck those carvings are pretty darn cool. Are they on the belly or back. I'm sure there on the handle

I got a real bad mental block on back and belly - belly faces the target? So, the carving is the handle on the back and sides - the part in contact with the shooter's hand-palm.

Stuck, the back faces the target, the belly faces the shooter.

Look at your own body.  Your belly compresses and your back expands.  You cant go the other way too far without something breaking.  Same mental picture with your bow.
