You've got a lot of catching up to do Rich. I don't know about the rest of these fellas but I damned sure missed you!!! I noticed when I logged on that paulsemp was even phishing.

I'm gonna get some pictures taken of the bow for BOM and then send her out.  I won't post the pictures until my guy gets his hands on the bow.  I'm gonna be working a night shift starting Thursday going on for about 2 weeks so I want to get this bow shipped soon!

I like this bend a lot better!

Rich, that is a great looking bow you received.  I too am glad to see you posting.

Ajooter, that bend looks real good.

David, those limbs look pretty even to me.  You could get the outer 3rds to come around more if you need them to.  Do you need to get anymore draw length out of it?  How are you sitting for draw weight right now?

Like I said, I think your limbs have a nice even bend right now.  Nice work.

That pic isn't at full draw, but pretty close.
I am good on draw weight. Heck, I actually need to lower it some. It's about 60lbs. Want around 55.

What swampman said David...I'll take it at 60#...you don't need to lower it down   ;)

i agree nice bend you have there David  ;D
how does the bow look on tool marks? you can easily lose 5lb just in cleaning up file marks and sanding it up.

I would start getting rid of tool marks David and see where you are at.  Looking good.

Excellent advise  ;D

David you're on your way to becoming what we all desire. Excellent work!! You keep up the fine work young man.

I hope you all realize this is exactly why we're here. Without your help neither David or myself will be able to finish this  >:D.

David it looks like you are holding it really low on the handle.  Your next task is to get the wood silky smooth.  Too many people get impatient on the finishing once the tillering is done.  the curve looks pretty darn good, and you are doing good work.  What you do between now and when you ship is what makes the difference between the real craftsmen on this site and those who just make nice shooting bows. (although there is nothing wrong with that, and some actually prefer the rough/primitive look) For me, this is the time to slow down, get to know every inch and grain in the bow and make something you will be proud of.  If it doesn't hurt a little to give it away, you aren't done yet.

Just my opinion.
