Well, it's good to hear it's all down to fine tuning! So, my goal weight is not 40. The plan was after checking in with you guys, if everything was looking good, I would pull it until I got close to the goal weight (55ish lb @ 29"), then start scraping to reduce weight. I think there's still plenty of osage on the bow that I don't need to worry about messing with the side profile. If you go by the every 2 inches is 5 lbs of weight, I should be hitting 55lbs when I get to around 25"-26". Now, I know that doesn't leave a ton of room for error, but I will be careful for sure when it comes to taking off the slightest amount of wood on the stiff spots. And thanks for bringing up the gizmo, Jeff! I never thought of using it for this style of bow, but I think you're right that it is bending in a way that would make sense to use one.
