Deer rugs look great, but the hair is hollow and very brittle.... That's why even tho they are warm because of the hollow hair they didn't make good jackets because the hair always breaks off... Good luck

Yes sir !!!!! I got the same time crunch as you EXCEPT that I have to factor in my "old man" nappy time as well.....do not get between an old man and his lazy-boy.

Dont know how much the young lady gets on the site with you, would you like the progress pics posted up here on her award bow?

Otter, I have made a few rugs and haven't had a problem yet! But I could on this one. Hopefully not since it was her first deer.

Rich, I'm enjoying this bow more than any others I've built. I really like how it's going, and don't want to stop. I like the proportions and the wood is really nice to work with.

I flattened the belly bevel off. Where the bow blank is now .....

Man this build thread is a lot of reading. I have to check it every few hrs to keep up with it so I don't get to far behind. I'm liking all the pics of the staves I just have one ? There is a pic of a Honeysuckle stave. Our honeysuckle in Kentucky is a bush with no trunk big enough to make a bow. Just wondering if it's the same honeysuckle that Ive grown up seeing. Keep up the great work everybody!

Man I'm lagging behind. I've had a few honey does but I'm back to it today as soon as my wife gets home so I don't leave the kiddos along. I'll have some progress pics posted today for sure. I was hoping to get the sleeves glued up today on the mulberry and chase a few more rings on the other Osage and draw out the hhb.

Loope: let me know how that red bud works out. I have access to red bud and wasn't sure how it would work.
