I haven't worked on the bow in several days, but the dogwood is at floor tiller stage, still a little stiff, but I think close to being ready for long string.
There were some weird spots in the handle where it looked like maybe some old limbs or damage of some sort and I didn't want to leave those in the bow. I rasped this down to just over an inch thick and got most of it out. I got past any of the soft wood, when I poke it with a knife point, what is left is hard. I plan to flatten what is left and laminate some more wood to the handle. Do you guys see any problem with this?
Also, one limb has some bend to it. I am thinking it needs some heat adjustment now before I get into the string tiller stage... what do you guys think?
