So many bows being built that my poor brain can't keep em sorted out. They all looking good though.

Otter must of been wearing his lucky hat again.

Got the dogwood bow to about a 5" brace and stretched out to about 20". Its showing just a touch more set then I like this early in the game so I will probably give it a good heat treating.

Dylan that bow is looking good> top limb may be a little weaker but not much. Might be careful removing wood if you're already on the low end of draw weight.

I think your bottom limb looks good....that top limb seems a little stiff from the fade out to midlimb.   Just my two cents.  Hand position on those bendies has a lot to do with tiller too.

Ajooter, that bow looks like it's about ready to sign, seal and deliver.  Nicely done sir.

Dylan, I agree with Ajooter's assessment of your bow.   The top limb seems to be just a bit stiff in that first third but that's seeing it from only the one side.  You are certainly very close.

WOW Otter, what choices.....tough decision.......congrats indeed.

Congrats Otter!  Dylon that bows looking great. I see some great looking bows on the works. I cut my finger to the sinew last week working on and erc longbow. And I was supposed to take it easy for about 10 day. Monday is 10 days but I couldn't wait so I was out today back on the erc, I got it to floor tiller and its looking real good but I need to put some reflex in it. Any ideas about the best way to do that?  I'm not sure if dry heat will work on erc and I don't have a way of steaming the whole bow. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Tim.

Got lucky today on my way home from camping and fishing. A bull dozed pile of BL. Ask the owner he said get all I want. So now I have plan B-S.

I've been distracted the past few days from working on any bows.  We called a tree service to come cut down some tall pines.  Before they get out here and drop trees, there were a few smaller trees that I wanted to try to save for staves.  Maybe they would have been okay to wait, but I could sure see them being damaged by felling the pines.  Now I am the proud owner of several hickory and persimmon staves... cut plenty long, split, and sealed the ends.

Nice hauls to Gutshot and Loope!

Started tillering my trilam.  Have it braced up and pulling to 16" at this point.  Anyone have experience tillering a R/D trilam?  It is at 36# at 16" so I have a little room yet (shooting for 45-50 @ 28).  Not sure where to go from here as this type of bow is new to me.   Any advice?  Here is unbraced, braced, and pulled to 16".

Enjoy the hunt!  Mitch

MWH that looks awesome man.   I'm just comparing it to some I've seen on here and I think your definitely on the right track!!  Can't wait to watch it come along.  I've noticed some guys making them with stiffer outers..but I think yours will work just fine.

mitch, to me the right side looks like it is bending too much right out of the fade compared to the left side--but i am no expert with that kind of bow.

For myself, I made a bowstring for my osage bow (the one with the hole in it) and shot about 50 arrows from it.  It hasn't blown yet, so I am starting to feel more confident it is going to make it.  I also started tillering the yew stave.  There is still some twist in the limbs that is proving stubborn.  I want to get it bending well and have everything lined up, before I try to back it with rawhide.  Work is slow, but going forward.
