Just got caught up on the thread. What an amazing collection of bow work this trade has made, and the generosity displayed by so many is quite uplifting.

I started several different bows for this trade, but I just wasnt feeling it with any of them. I finally got one roughed out that is a perfect fit. It was a stave that Bryce gave me back in 2013 in exchange for bandsawing up a few yew logs he had just cut. It has some nice even backset in it, I just finished tweaking on the limbs with heat and everything lines up real nice. Flipped the tips Saturday, drilled out a couple knots yesterday. Fine tuning the width profile right now. Nocks and tillering it in this week. I am going to go with a naked handle, as it has a beauty mark centered in the handle. Not sure how to set it off with the finish work yet, might go for simple beauty as this stick is already easy on the eyes. When is the deadline?  ;) I have a plan B already finished up, but hope it doesnt come to that.

A defect reared its ugly head and put plan A out of the running. A lot of hard work wasted. Time to turn up the heat on all other works in progress.  >:D
