Today I received a large section of  PVC pipe with that gem that Matt posted inside. Couldn't have ordered a more appropriate bow for my type of shooting. Thank you Matt! I'll get some action shots up soon.

Wow!  PatM, I'm surprised that you rec'd it already!  If I remember right, I sent it out just this past Friday.  Must have breezed through Customs.  Hope you like it.  I was intimidated by your stats when I first rec'd them from The Goatster.  Hopefully, your pictures will do it better justice than what my pics did.  I still have an achy shoulder from shooting that one on the course at Tennessee.

I got the bow out past 23" and I'm still about 9# heavy at the full draw. Then i started to narrow the tips some

Pappy, I sure would be happy if that bow put meat on the table.
Thanks everyone. I am looking forward to seeing what is still to come.

If it don't Chuck it will be my fault, sure not because of the bow. ;) :) It's got deadly written all over it. :)

Tip overlay added and shaping begins. I'll work away the excess once stability is established. Got a string on it today and it stretched it out like a bungee cord. Need to get some no stretch material.

Looks good Pat.  Are you still using B-50?

Generally no. I prefer the polyester variety of artificial sinew to B-50 and I use spectra fishing line for no stretch. Real no-stretch bowstring is not too readily available to me.
I do use linen as well.
