Really nice looking bows being worked on fellas.  I know I wouldn't mind receiving one a few pounds light.

I induced around 2 1/2"-3" reflex in my trade bow and added some statics last weekend.  I believe I will be going all Grumley style with this one.

Tillering will have to wait till after the Classic.

Looks damn fine Paul. You always know how to skillfully work out the issues on your osage bows, I think your guy is gonna be pleased with that one.
That VM looks too cool Gordon, look forward to seeing your amazing finish work applied to it. I always dig the work you west coast guys turn out, I wouldn't mind be on the receiving end of a bow from any of your group there.

Wish I could make the Classic. Not this year but maybe next. If I can make it maybe my old 88 Caprice Classic wagon can get me there.

I would give my left to get there and already lost my right one.

I have not chimed in here yet but I am in the game. I wanted to make a bow of materials I have used more than 1/4 a century and is also a bit of a signature of one of my styles. This is a wide near perfect Utah juniper stave I had. It's a little over 51" and  was pretty flat as far as reflex in the stave. I backed it with 2 layers, waited a week and put on 2/3 more(the center 2/3 of the bow got long back fibers). Considering where it is going I did not want to make it a thick sinew backed juniper bow but instead a juniper bow with a sinew back. I backed it over a month ago and it only has a couple " of reflex. It will have a 26" draw. Same draw as mine. I'm not going for a replica native bow. Instead a native inspired bow with features from anything I want to borrow from. The belly is covered with tape to keep the wood from splitting as always will happen in a wide thin bow if a moisture excape barrier is not in place. I'll take my time with the sinew seasoning and finish it in time. I am quite busy. I have time to work on bows but no time to post on this site.
