Cool to see you two PNW bowyers are using wood local to your area for the trade, both bows are shaping up nice Weylin and Gordon. I know this midwesterner would be pleased to receive one of those.

Wicked work indeed!got another elm going, scary how stiff the wood is and tight growth rings are.
Some like motorboats,I like kayaks, some like guns,I like bows, but not the wheelie type.

Got some pin nocks carved in and brought her to first brace. It's always a nice feeling when you string it up and the tiller is darn close, the string is perfectly aligned and the limbs are balance. Can't wait to tiller this bow out.

Everything's looking real good guys some sweet ones are going to be turned out in this trade!

Figured I'd better check in with my status. Been working on this Osage takedown and it was shooting real nice except there was just a little bit of hand shock I could not get rid of. And it was driving me nuts and there was no way I was going to send it out like that. Sat down last night and I think I finally got it licked. Put about a hundred arrows through it today and I think it's ready to be finished up. Got some sweet skins from Clint that I'm going to throw on it. Really want to have this one in the mail before I leave for Marshall. One negative thing about this bow is that  as it sits I am right at the bottom end on my recipients preferred weight. I know by the time it's finished I'll be a pound or two under. The way I see it though Osage always seems to pick up a few pounds over the years. So if my guys willing to just put it on his rack for 3 or 4 years should be right where he wants it  >:D
