I whipped it up good today, lots of free time in the shop. Tillering this thing will be a nightmare, but worth it IF it decides to hold up.

Those two take-down limbs are still jumping up  and down in the background. "What about us?"

That ones gonna be a challenge Chris, looks like you're off to a good start with the straightening though.
I saw that stave blank in person a couple weeks ago guys and can say Pearly is in for some fun getting a string on that baby.
I ain't broke but I'm badly bent.

I hope this is just a case of misunderstanding what you're trying to say, but it looks like to me that you asked for advice and you are now mocking those that offered you some?  I hope that's not the case.  Pearly that crooked stick is ubercool!  I'm really digging that baby!  I hope to get a little time to work on mine when I get home next weekend.  So far, the sleeves are epoxied and its at floor tiller.  Lots of cool looking projects coming together so far!   Josh

Pearlie doesn't pull chains, he pushes them.

He may push but deep down he's softer than a baby's bottom. Pulling out some wood tonight and I've had some dead standing snakey billets laying around. Just enough character to make it interesting but not so much to make it unpredictable. Gonna get them cleaned up and deside weather on glue them together or making a takedown. I've made a bunch of bows out of this batch and yet to be disappointed. Got my fingers crossed

Looks like a nice set of billets Pauly. I've seen plenty of your bows from that stuff, even the gnarly ones hold up nice and keep their shape.

It's cool.  Clearly I missed the context.  Josh

There may be a few guys in the swap who remember that stave from 5 years ago (or so). Cody is one of them. It was given to me as a joke at our first gathering at Marty's. Each winter gathering I'd bring it back to Marty's and do a little more work on it, it started as a bark on stick. It has sat roughed out for 2 years now. Chasing a ring was by far the worst step so far, wow.....

That's gonna be a very cool bow Pearlie.
I'll post a few pics this evening. I'm at low brace, flipped the tips yesterday and ready to move on. I'll check brace again and tip alignment. I think I'll need a little adjusting there.

I made a bow out of a HHB stave many years ago that had a shotgun pellet embedded in the wood.
