Bone to join two billets?

Anyone out there know how well a piece of bone would do as a takedown sleeve?  Or to join two billets together?

I think it would be too brittle,, but maybe ok on a very light weight bow,, I have not tried it,,,you could do a test with scrap piece of wood,,, and see what poundage it would take to break it,,,, then go from there,,

Certainly an interesting idea. It might work with a piece of beef bone if you can keep the walls of handle thick.

I think the problems will be the bone holding up to the pressure, i suppose you could wrap it to help in that area, and the shear size of the grip to get a sufficient hole for the billets to rest in
