were the blades that come off of blade cores ever mounted on a handle like the rest of the blades we make or were they just kinda used real carefully like razor blades off a box cutter?

just guessing, but they were probably just held with leather at the base for use.
perhaps the handle area was dulled a little?

Some blades were snppped into arrowheads in Europe. Not much blade tech in the Americas.
Search--Transverse Arrowheads Nothern Europe.
