I wont be playing war with mine, no way! My first attempt was only 11# and it would kill somebody under 5-8 yards.

I made a 4 strand 457x. It was a pain, but worked just fine. Those 4 strands will hold at least 300#.

That little 30" bighorn bow was 70# @ 18". I didn't use anything like a flight arrow. It was a 20" 11/32 cedar target arrow. Can't remember the weight with the heavy field point but it was of course way under 700 grains. Still could not get it to shoot much over 140 fps. You won't catch me telling tall tales. Still looking to make a impressive shooter, but it won't be out of expensive bighorns. I do however have some scraps that would make a perfect 25" bow that I would love to test to pieces.

Thunder keep in mind this is Marshall, Michigan. I know there is a Marshall, MO shoot, I believe.

Im not a fan of the whole sinewing process,but its pretty quick n easy to do when ya only got 3 bundles to lay down...lol  :laugh:  sinew is soaking and im hoping to be able to sinew it later this eve. 2 bundles are limb length,and the other is bow length long  8) i think 2 layers is enough as the osage is uber thin




Ive also blanked out a 24"er i intend to make a r/d static with sinew also

  Drop the weight f that arrow to about 150 grains and it will g much faster than 140 fps I guarantee.
