Okay I got the walnut shaped and reduced down to finish drying  so hope to get rolling on my Minibow this weekend

Thanks, I feared it might have something to do with Joseph Marshall III from Rosebud Reservation, but he is not an expert in archery anyway - as I have found out in the meantime. http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/s/ref=is_s?k=joseph+marshall

Five years ago he accepted my order for bow, arrows, quiver and bow case plus a deposit in the amount of $ 750. Two years later he told me that he "has no time to make the items but he would refund me". Which he never did, he kept my money. I'm still waiting for the refund.

invite this fellow to Marshall  we have a special way to honor him ! >:D :laugh:

If you can get to our event we will honor you sir with a true gift that can not be bought but is truly priceless and there are plenty of good folks standing with me to back that up.

I decided it was time to get busy making some tiny arrows.  On my way home tonight I went on a supply run to hillbilly heaven, aka walmart.  I picked up a couple packs of bamboo cake decorating rods.  On my way back through the store I wondered down the camping isle to check out some stuff for the Classic when something caught my eye.  It was bamboo grill skewers.  Both are solid bamboo.  The cake rods are  1/4" x 12" long and cost $2 a pack.  The grill skewers are 13/64" x 32" long and were only $0.88 a pack.  I'm going to make some out of both and see how it works.  An empty .22 shell casing fits over the skewers nicely.






Not a bad haul for under $6.

Picked up a pack the other day too. But didn't know what gonna use on business end. Now have a clue.
Self nocks? Such small diameter!

The dancing bear had self nocks on skewers half that size.

A sinew wrap should protect the self nock even on a skewer.
