I know this has been a learning experience for me...ive learned some things in doing these...no room for errors or inferior woods thats for sure... ;)

One other thought....we need to get a group picture shot and however many minis you made with the Canadian Warbow guys!!!!  >:D They're  gonna be giving us some funny looks...and dont judge a man by the size of his stick!!!  :laugh:  :laugh:

Well I am getting a late start on this. I think there will be a learning curve for me with how much wood I have to take off to get this to bend. I have a little Osage stick roughed out but it isn't bending yet. There isn't much wood left. I can only imagine how hard it will be to tiller. It is 22-1/2" ttt. If mine goes in the fire it will be because I broke it, not because it's too long >:D

You're right Ryan. Its a sliver of wood once you get to 15-25#.  Especially if its over an inch wide. I'll be curious to see how the sinew backed bows work out. Im struggling with arrow flight now. I just need to take some sandpaper to the arrows until they fly better.

Did best I could with bareshaft testing. But it's hard to see the lil suckas fly ... especially in the basement!
With 1/4" dowels wt @ 24" was 160-180 grn. Forgot to weigh 'em @ 15". Field pts are 60 grn. They looked to be a bit stiff. But fletched 'em anyway. Have shot them just a few times up to now, but flight seems decent enough.

Haven't found source for 1/4" carbons, yet.   >:D

  Pearl if you are using real short arrows get the densest wood you have available. Some of the cane is actually fairly dense. I think Tonkin cane is about 1 1/2 times as dense as ipe. I think a 70 grain arrow would fly real nice out of a 15# bow.
