If these minis are over 40# could they be used for hunting or is there just not enough draw length to build grunt?

At 12" draw they would not store enough energy for hunting but with light enough arrows could get some good cast.

Sorry, am a bit confused, I know crossbows have a huge amount more poundage but they operate off a short draw?

A 100# crossbow has less power than a 50# longbow.

Badly bent and i were stomping though the woods today and when we got back to the car I grabbed my mini and let one go. We paced it out to 100 yards... whether i hit the bear or not I know im making it over the lake >:D

First class, Paul!
... alone in distant woods or fields, in unpretending sproutlands or pastures tracked by rabbits, even in a bleak and, to most, cheerless day .... .  I suppose that this value, in my case, is equivalent to what others get by churchgoing & prayer.  Hank Thoreau, 1857

Nice bow Paul.  I'm getting closer to having one that shoots.  I steamed the tips on this one tonight.

I started out with nothin' and I still got most of it left

@ bubby and Chris......
What is the radius of the bends???
Remember....We do have to be accurate with these things....but its fun isn't it.. ;D ;)
I'm zeroing in on some arrows......it's going to take me until Marshall to learn to shoot these mini bows.
Chris, I'm glad you got this post started early... :)
